SeanS Rushes Off The Mat After A First Period Varsity Pin

The Bruins finished the regular season 8-2 dropping to a tough NW team.

JV Line Up To Cheer On Their Next Wrestler

The JV team dropped a heartbreaker 43-42 ending their season at 9-1.  I know, usually losing teams blame the Ref, but I'm sure even NW questioned some of Mr.H's calls.  He definitely needs to get down on the mat quicker to call pins.  Our guys had some early pins that weren't called, control points and nearfall points that were missed due to his lack of quickness to observe and make the call.

The match came down to a heavyweight ride-out where ChaseB did everything he was supposed to but was robbed by the Ref due to poor calls at the edge of the mat.  As far as I'm concerned, the JV are undefeated and we can't wait for the JV Tournament with different Refs.

Exhibition Wrestlers Await Their Turn On The Mat

Finally, an exhibition team with some depth and organization.  NW should be commended on their fine group of young boys who will be the future of their program.  We matched up well in the middle weights but they had many lower weight wrestlers where we had more upper weight boys.

Their exhibition coach brought out the boys like a part of the team, organized run-out with music, cal's and everything.  When I asked him why he does this, he said, "These boys work as hard as the rest.  They deserve to look like a part of the team."  It's good to hear another coach feels the way I do rather than others who feel organized warm-ups need to be "earned" and are only for Varsity and JV wrestlers.
