PV Takes East Penn League Trophy!

The Pleasant Valley Bruins Varsity Youth Wrestling Team recorded over 160 points to earn the East Penn Youth Wrestling League 1998-1999 Championship! Distancing their closest opponent by over twenty points, the Bruins lead the field of 15 teams competing in the Red and Blue Divisions of the East Penn League.

The Bruins were led by First Place winners, Kevin Olswfski and Tim McGoldrick who scored decisions and Keith Pettis who won by fall.

The tournament was videoed by Channel 13 and was broadcast 2/13/99 at 6:30pm and 2/14/99 at 10:00am.

The Pleasant Valley Bruins have a fine history of wrestling in northeast Pennsylvania! With only two losses in dual meets the past seven years, the Bruins are considered one of the top youth teams in the nation. Wrestlers aged five to twelve compete in the Pocono Mountain and Lehigh Valley areas. We had 128 wrestlers on the Varsity, JV and Exhibition teams in 1997/98 and about 150 signed up for the 1998/99 season.

Varsity and JV wrestlers practice M/W/F 7:30-9:00. Second year wrestlers practice M/W/F 6:30-7:30 and first year wrestlers meet Thursdays from 6:30-8:30.
